  • Introduction

    This programme will introduce the basic principles of lean, operational excellence & continuous improvement in a fun and engaging 2 days to all levels of employees across all business functions. It will enable all attendees to not only be able to identify areas for improvement but to also have a basic tool kit with which they can use to realise the benefits.

    One of the hardest things to do is to sustain change, by including people from all areas and levels of the business we create a common language, with common goals and an understanding that “everyone “ has a part to play in the future as the business continues to improve.


  • Course content

    • It is a highly interactive programme based around 2 main themes, a lean business simulation game and the identification & elimination of the 8 wastes:  

    o Reasons for change

    o 5 Lean principles

    o The 8 wastes (Timwoods)

    o Problem identification & problem solving

    o Error proofing

    o Visual performance management

    o 5s

    o Standard procedures

    o Knowledge test with certificate (if required)

  • Planning the training

    To ensure the training delivers the most possible benefits to your own business a pre training visit should take place with the following agenda


    o Identify stakeholders, present training overview if required

    o Establish business reasons for training and  post training expectations

    o Discuss business goals to align where possible

    o Deliver a brief business overview and tour to trainer if applicable

    o Take live pictures to include in training where applicable

    o Total number of employees to be trained

    o Time scale for training considering required release from daily roles

    o Pilot training session to be delivered to who

    o Training room/facilities available, onsite or offsite options
